Routes of Pride

Published in June of 2001, Routes of Pride traces the evolution of the Boston Pride celebration - from a few dozen lesbians and gay men marching as part of a Vietnam War protest, to a massive celebration that often draws more than 100,000 participants. Routes of Pride features a unique map depicting the various routes that the Pride march has followed over the years, along with text highlighting the forces that shaped the annual Pride event into a day of both protest and celebration.

Routes of Pride provides valuable historical context for the discussion of both Pride and GLBT history. If you're interested in obtaining copies of Routes of Pride, please send us an email .
