Join The History Project's book club for an informal group discussion of Carmilla, Sheridan Le Fanu's 1872 Gothic novella narrated by a young woman preyed upon by a female vampire. First published as a serial in The Dark Blue (1871–72), the story is one of the early works of vampire fiction, predating Bram Stoker's Dracula by 26 years.

Where can I get a copy of Carmilla?
Carmilla can be easily found in libraries as well as independent and used bookstores.
Physical copies are also available from public libraries. If your primary residence is in Massachusetts, you may be eligible for a Boston Public Library (BPL) eCard.
