Graffiti, a heart around the words Dick n Cliff

Graffiti Retrospective: 1980 to 2018

Thursday, November 29, 2018
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
The History Project, 29 Stanhope Street, Boston, MA 02116
Events in this series are free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required.

In the 80's and 90's you could see graffiti just about everywhere in Boston: on the Statehouse, on the Longfellow Bridge, all over Harvard Square, in the South End, on Mass Ave. and almost every street. Mary Leno's lively slideshow will revisit older graffiti messages, and show what has being written this year, from wars past and present, the AIDS crisis, Pride, abortion, racism... Ever wonder if girls and women do graffiti? Come and find out!

About the Out of the Archives Series
