Bulletin: Our First Ten Collections (January 2020)

Photo of collections boxes in our archives. In this case, Collection #50: BAGLY is shown.
by Russ Lopez

We thought about holding a contest to see if anyone could name Collection Number 1 or our first ten collections (at least as we number them), but we didn't want to keep anyone guessing for months. The first several dozen collections came in about the same time, obviously. But there is still something special about being in the first ten.

  1. Mike Riegle
  2. David Scondras
  3. Bay Windows
  4. AIDS Ephemera
  5. March on Washington / Gay & Lesbian Defense Committee
  6. Boston PRIDE
  7. LGBT Youth
  8. Lavender Resistance and BLAGMAR
  9. Homophile Union of Boston
  10. Student Homophile League

We now have almost 200 collections!
