March 12, 2020

The safety and well-being of our volunteers, visitors, researchers, and staff is our top priority. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation in the U.S.

In light of growing concerns and in response to the state of emergency declared by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the communities we serve to close The History Project to volunteers, visitors, and researchers until March 31, 2020.

Under an abundance of caution, all March events will be cancelled or rescheduled as possible, and all meetings will be conducted via teleconference. Staff will continue to monitor email communication and research requests.

We are committed to responding as quickly as possible to guidance surrounding COVID-19 and we will communicate any future event cancellations, postponements, or shifts in format with registered attendees and on our website. Please contact us at info@historyproject.org with any questions.

Thank you for being part of our community, and for your continued support of LGBTQ history.

Best,

Joan Ilacqua, Executive Director
Andrew Elder, Chair, Board of Directors
