Whether this year's crop of LGBTQ holiday rom-coms is inspiring excitement, disappointment, or even rage (Was the only redeeming part of Happiest Season Kristen Stewart's wardrobe? We have opinions...), The History Project is happy to offer you a variety of talks, discussions, and interviews from the past nine months that will inspire great things for the new year!

We're taking a short break from events in December, so this is a great time to catch up on - or rewatch - some of the 25 events we produced this year! We hope you'll enjoy them, spread the word when you feel inspired, and consider making a donation to our year-end campaign to help us bring you engaging, educational, and fun events in 2021.

Just for you, we've released a discussion between Raja Gemini (RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 3 winner) and Scott Martino (of the Gold Dust Orphans), who talk about their memories of and personal histories with Provincetown, from a summer when few of us were able to be there.

  • Our Gift to You: LGBTQ BostonThis playlist includes conversations and lectures exploring the history of Boston's LGBTQ community, from researching our queer past to hearing from members of current organizations like the Mass Bears and Cubs and the Lavender Country and Folk Dancers. Check out this playlist to learn more about your own backyard!
  • Our Gift to You: Finding and Creating LGBTQ History - Wonder how museums and archives tell LGBTQ history? Maybe you want to get into genealogy to find "fruit" on your own family tree this holiday season? This playlist explores how historians, archivists, researchers, and curators document, explore, and share LGBTQ stories and history.
  • Our Gift to You: Labels, Codes, and IdentitiesAm I a "Friend of Dorothy?" What's a bear? Did people really hook-up based on handkerchief colors? This playlist includes queer people talking about sexual identity, ways of finding community, and the cultural impact of handkerchiefs and The Wizard of Oz.

Check out our YouTube channel for all of our offerings, including conversations this year's HistoryMaker Awards honorees.

Thank you for your support, generosity, and willingness to spend time online with each other this year.
