Join The History Project and Chris Ricciotti to discuss the history of Lavender Country and Folk Dancers and gender role free dancing.

Chris brought his love of dancing to Boston in 1989 when he founded Lavender Country and Folk Dancers. He has spoken and written many times about the group’s history, community evolution, and larger, longer history of same-sex dancing. He remains highly involved and is a popular dance caller around New England. He's known for his kind grace at the mic where he eases newcomers into the traditions of both modern and centuries-old community/old town dances. Seemingly tireless, Chris also launched two annual dance camps as well as helping form additional clubs on both coasts.

RSVP on Eventbrite, link to the Zoom will be sent out the day of the event. Email info@historyproject.org with any questions. For security purposes, Zoom meetings require an authenticated Zoom account, so please be sure to register with Zoom prior to the event.

This event is free and open to the public, any donations made will support The History Project's mission to document, preserve, and share LGBTQ history. Thank you for your support!
