When I Knew...The Coming Out Eureka Moment!

When I Knew...The Coming Out Eureka Moment!

Wednesday, May 12, 2021
7:00PM
This event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required and donations are accepted with our thanks.

Join SpeakOUT Boston and The History Project for a night of storytelling about those transformative moments when we knew we were LGBTQ+ and there was no turning back.

Coming out can happen gradually or all at once for members of the LGBTQ+ community, and is an ongoing process. In 2021, LGBTQ people must still decide how, when, and to whom they will “come out” every day.

This online storytelling event explores the personal stories of coming out. Focusing on intergenerational and diverse dialogues grounded in the history of LGBTQ+ liberation in Massachusetts, storytellers will tell us “when they knew” they were part of the LGBTQ community and how they began and continue to come out.

Speakers soon to be announced!

RSVP on Eventbrite, link to the Zoom will be sent out the day of the event. Email info@historyproject.org with any questions. For security purposes, Zoom meetings require an authenticated Zoom account, so please be sure to register with Zoom prior to the event.

This event is free and open to the public, any donations made will be split between The History Project and SpeakOUT Boston. Thank you for your support!

With thanks to Mass Humanities' Bridge Street Fund for its support of The History Project's programming.
