Join us on June 26th at 2:00PM for The History Project: Massachusetts Milestones with Joan Ilacqua from The History Project.

Milestones in Massachusetts is the story of LGBTQ+ organizers and activists fighting for legal rights in Massachusetts. We'll trace the legal journey of the LGBTQ+ community in Massachusetts, from the Puritans to today, delving into early anti-queer laws, the 20th-century LGBTQ+ movement, and the ongoing fight for equality for all.

Joan Ilacqua is the Executive Director of the History Project. Joan is a member of the Boston 400th Commemoration Commission and the Community Archives Collaborative. Joan is a graduate of UMass Boston's Public History master's program and her background is in oral history and advocacy.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Boston Public Library, Lower Mills Branch.
