We'll trace the legal journey of the LGBTQ+ community in Massachusetts, from the Puritans to today, delving into early anti-queer laws, the 20th-century LGBTQ+ movement, and the ongoing fight for equality for all.
Joan Ilacqua is the Executive Director of the History Project. Joan is a member of the Boston 400th Commemoration Commission and the Community Archives Collaborative. Joan is a graduate of UMass Boston's Public History master's program and her background is in oral history and advocacy.
